Departure
Before departure by 10:30 AM, please strip the beds and place the bed linen along with the towels in the bathroom. Please dispose of waste separately in material groups: “Green Dot/Yellow Bag”, paper, glass, organic, and residual waste. Please turn off the heating and refrigerator upon departure and open any windows equipped with mosquito screens.
If you make use of the service for additional services not included in the room price, we assume that you agree to the charge according to the price list. Our deposit bottles should remain with us.
Usually, you will receive the invoice in advance by email so you can take a look at it. Please do not depart without paying. We are happy to settle up in person if you do not pay via PayPal.me/heinshof/[amount] before departure. We accept all major cards. You can rent or buy the original Helite Airbag from us, as we are an official sales point.
Arrival
Please notify us of your arrival about 30 minutes in advance; this helps our family business with logistics. The access road to the farm is located at Im Sahrendorf 13 and in the residential street Bollberg in the Egestorf district of Sahrendorf. You can unload directly in front of your accommodation if your suitcases are heavy. Please then park for free in our parking lot by the riding arena. Parking in Bollberg is only allowed uphill from the farm gate. Please leave the space in front of the barn free for an electric car. Parking is not permitted on unpaved surfaces, such as grass verges.

With the Heinshof App, you have everything on-site under control. As an overnight guest, select “Vacation Apartment”. As a day guest, please select payment via PayPal or credit card (SumUp).
Equipment
What do you need to bring? Helmet, riding breeches, gloves, boots (with a heel and a firm fit over the ankle), and a headset for the Coach Phone. We recommend wearing an airbag safety vest. You can find this and much more 20 minutes away at the well-stocked Pferdesporthaus Loesdau, Am Hatzberg 5, 21224 Rosengarten. The route away from the highway via Buchholz (Google Maps) is not the fastest, but it is the most beautiful! We have a voucher ready for you, subject to availability. The trendy ea.St. Reggings (“riding leggings”) are also available here at the farm!
We ask for your understanding that we cannot rent out safety equipment. This must be brought individually by each rider and checked for suitability.
Fire Protection
In every vacation apartment, you will find smoke detectors, a fire blanket, and a fire extinguisher. Nothing rules here except the smoking ban in the vacation apartment, all buildings, and on the entire farm site. A smoking zone is located at the gate. We ask you to check in advance with the German Weather Service or similar to ensure there is no forest fire danger.
Baked Goods - Roll Service
We offer baked specialties, including rolls, baguettes, and croissants. There are also cold cuts, e.g., cheese and ham. Simply pre-order here.
Check-In
We need some time to get your vacation apartment in tip-top shape for you by 3:30 PM. For earlier arrivals for potential riding sessions, our stylish changing room is of course available. Alternatively, you can book an early check-in at a low cost, see the price list.
Check-Out
We look forward to a phone notification for check-out with payment in the chicken house 30 minutes before your planned departure. Usually, you will receive the invoice in advance by email for review. Your payments are already taken into account on the last page of the invoice. The deposit is listed as a transitory item on the invoice; it is not offset but will follow via credit to your payment method.

E-Charging Station
You can charge your electric car at our wallbox upon pre-order. Further charging options are located in Egestorf at the Waldbad and in Bispingen at the ski slope.

Food
Please always give a warm greeting from Heinshof: Butchery Albers, Egestorf makes every sausage themselves, the finest by hand. But we freshly slice genuine Jamon Iberico or raw ham from Graubünden/CH in the mornings and afternoons! With luck, eggs are available from our Herbert Heitmann at his sales stand “zur Sudermühle”, a 2-minute walk from Heinshof. In our chicken house is our Heinshof shop, featuring Swiss or Heath coffee roasts, teas, various Belgian hot and cold chocolates, Mövenpick ice cream, English kettle chips, private beers, exquisite organic wines from the Palatinate, and sparkling refreshments. For the “superlate checker-in”, there are of course fine things to cook from the Hamburg gourmet kitchen Michelsen for the vacation apartment. Or snack on them directly in the chicken house! Fruit farm Prigge has been at a sales stand in the village every Sunday for over (!) 40 years. There you will find apples from their own harvest – originally from the Altes Land – seasonal fruit, asparagus in season, and much more. Don’t forget the Heinshof greeting!
Our farmers are happy if you wait until after check-in with your shopping and let yourself be surprised by regional Heath specialties. What you can’t get here directly from the farm, Nah & Frisch has in its well-equipped brand supermarket in neighboring Egestorf, just past the Waldbad and the Barefoot Park. And do go out to eat again. It’s your vacation. But it’s better to reserve before your arrival.
Television
Your vacation apartment has satellite TV with unencrypted or free-to-air programs. You can also swivel the television toward you using the wall mount. Sources, e.g., for USB connections, are available. For streaming services, we naturally cannot assume any functional guarantee or control. Please adjust the devices to room volume and be particularly considerate of your neighbors from 10 PM.
Fire

Amusement Parks
After riding, take an afternoon at the best and most beautiful amusement park on this planet. A Sahrendorf local from the Allgäu not only designed the wonderful Heidepark, but today employs falconers, wolves, bears, and eagle owls in the legendary Wildpark Lüneburger Heide, five minutes away. There is also the recently opened Heidehimmel, which offers those with a head for heights a legendary view toward Hamburg. The Barefoot Park next door is an institution. Far from the athlete’s foot of urban indoor pools, you walk through generously laid out forest and meadow sections or jump into the cooling water in the middle of the enchanted, beautiful Waldbad Aquadies Egestorf. If a ten-minute walk is too long, it’s two minutes by car. Even more sea, or rather swimming and forest pools, can be found after Ollsen in the Waldbad Hanstedt or just before it on the right at the Köhlerhütte.
Heating
Energy costs are included, but we still politely ask for modest consumption. Please turn on the water heater (Cossma, La Jolie, Max, Moritz) upon arrival. Please only air out the apartments when the radiators are turned off. We ask for daily burst ventilation, especially after showering. If your kids lock the window locks, we have a key ready for you, but ask that you return it to us immediately. We would be happy if you turn off the radiators and the refrigerator again before departure.
Farm Shop
Here you can help yourself as you wish. Simply fill out the provided order form and leave it in our mailbox upon departure for detailed billing. Providing your name, vacation apartment, and date helps with allocation and avoids errors.
Dog Etiquette
Your leashed favorites are ❤-ly welcome on your riding vacation!
If you haven’t booked them yet, please do so now. Please refer to our price list for the costs.
To ensure you don’t incur extra costs for cleaning, sorting, or straw and hay replacement, we are happy if your favorite takes a seat on brought blankets or dog baskets, and never on the sofa, bed, or other inventory.
The walk should not take place for either small or large business on the farm site, the lawn areas, or near horse feed and bedding. Please always remove dog waste within the village boundaries using dog bags you bring with you and throw them into our residual waste at the lower farm gate.
Depending on availability, a food pack or treats of the popular Terra Canis dog food will be in your vacation apartment for true “It-Dogs”. Of course, free to try!
Dogs must be kept on a leash on the farm site, the pastures, and the entire property. Dogs are not allowed to dig holes on the lawns or in the pastures. Please do not leave your dog unattended in the vacation apartment, on the property, near horses, or in vehicles.

Inventory
The costs for the use of towels and bed linen are included in the price for the vacation apartment.
The occupancy of all non-smoking apartments is intended for up to 2, 4, or 5 people depending on the booking. Each person receives one towel, one bath towel, a covered pillow, and a covered duvet for use. In addition, there is a bath mat for each bathroom. You will find the beds made up, and we politely ask that you strip them again after departure (except for the protective covers) and place them in the bathroom. Additional persons, if possible, must be reconfirmed in advance for a fee, even without a sleeping place.
The inventory of the vacation apartment is adapted to your standards: Fine Bone China porcelain by Rosenthal, Stölzle glasses for sparkling fun and wines. Cutlery and kitchen accessories are also not “the old Heath style”, but quite suitable for your private (cooking) duel. Please make sure that no cutlery ends up in the trash with napkins when clearing away or is otherwise lost. When booking several apartments, completeness per apartment also counts and not in total, so we politely ask you to restore the original state if you want to sit together across apartments for meals.
You will find an inventory list in the built-in wardrobe. We check for you before arrival. Feel free to do so upon arrival as well!

Only in an emergency, should you not reach us by phone, ring the bell at the main entrance, but please never knock on the staff/kitchen door or windows. Because right by the kitchen, we have some privacy in our private living room. A thousand thanks!
L - Groceries
Our farmers are happy if you wait until after check-in with your shopping and let yourself be surprised by regional Heath specialties. What you can’t get here directly from the farm, Nah & Frisch has in its well-equipped brand supermarket in neighboring Egestorf, just past the Waldbad and the Barefoot Park. A Netto is a few hundred meters further.
M - Waste
Please dispose of waste separately in material groups: “Green Dot/Yellow Bag”, paper, glass, organic, and residual waste. The containers are located below the barn behind the manure slab.

O - Public Transport
Bus lines 4611 and 4631 as well as school transport 4615 lead you to Heinshof. For direct entry of the line, you can find the line schedule here.
From July 15 to October 15, the Heideshuttle runs free of charge from many train stations, e.g., Buchholz, Lüneburg, Handeloh.
The bus stop named “Sahrendorf, Bollberg” with connections to Hanstedt, Buchholz, and Salzhausen is located directly in front of the farm gate. Another stop with regular connections is a 5-10 minute walk away, “Schätzendorf, Rahnstraat“.
The nearest train station is Handeloh. Buchholz in der Nordheide is a bit further away, but better connected by bus.
Parking
Please park for free in our parking lot by the riding arena. This is also the parking space for horse trailers and rigs. Parking in Bollberg is only allowed for unloading and for day guests uphill from the farm gate. Please leave the space in front of the barn free for an electric car. Parking should not be done on unpaved surfaces, such as grass verges.

Horses, brought along
Please only bring your horse into the booked stall if it is healthy. In the months of March to April or in the event of warnings from veterinary offices, we assume that you can present a negative PCR test for Herpes Type 1 that is up to 48 hours old, if no immunization by vaccination can be proven.
The stall is available from 3:30 PM on the day of arrival. For earlier arrivals, e.g., for trail rides etc., various public parking options are available directly at the nature park. Times for trail rides or lessons may be arranged with us.
We exclude liability for damages for the care of your horse and assume that the monetary value of your horse does not exceed €20,000.
Rigs or trailers park on the so-called “market area” near our pastures. The pasture gate and the signposted market area should remain clear. Please attach your padlocks and a trailer lock when parking. We exclude liability. Please contact your insurance for your protection while traveling.
Self-service, turnout times, use of the riding arena, etc. will be charged according to the price list and should be agreed upon in advance with the riding school and proven by inserting a “chicken house slip” into the mailbox of the “Chick Inn”.
The farm site will be opened for farm work and loading. Please notify us of your arrival 30 minutes in advance. After unloading, the rig or trailer must be driven to the parking lot.
Book lessons at heinshof.eu. With included lessons, you will receive a credit upon departure according to the booking and the amount of lessons.
Please avoid hoof scraping on the farm site and only tie horses to the front side of the tie rails. Horses are not allowed to step on the ornamental lawn. Please pick up horse droppings in paddocks, pastures, the farm site, and the residential street. Before and after touching horses belonging to third parties, the hand sanitizer dispensers must be used.

Riding Lessons
You can inform us of your preferred date for riding now or by 12 PM the previous day at the following link:

We will then get back to you with confirmation on the previous day, and we politely ask for your understanding that planning with horses is not possible any earlier.
With the first riding lesson together, everyone (beginners to advanced!) books the service extra “Saddling Assistance” for instruction on saddle and bridle as well as any special features. Beginners also book a basic course before the first riding lesson.
Always book an airbag as the greatest possible protection against injury! This is mandatory for trail rides. We consider conventional, back-stiffening safety vests to be insufficient to dangerous and they are not allowed on trail rides.
You make a time-period booking (morning/afternoon, gladly all day). The time allocation follows on the previous evening, including the location for picking up the horse and names, coach, etc. Be there at least 1 hour before! You will receive another email for the details. The backend and the app for your smartphone are clearer.

Restaurants
1 minute across from Heinshof you will see Gasthaus Studtmann. Follow guest recommendations, i.e., go past it to the left, and you will reach Hof Sudermühlen. There you can get Bit and Köpi on tap! Cozy, new, and likable and casually trendy is the Alte Schmiedehof next door in Undeloh. Afterward, another glass from our wine selection in the chicken house wine climate cabinet. Perfect! Ollsen is also a neighboring village and is home to the Gasthof Eiche, five minutes away by car. A few km further is Pfeffers – wonderfully delicious and very child-friendly! At the moment, the big hit is the Grillhus in Nindorf, 4 minutes by car!
Reception
Heinshof is not a hotel in the classic sense and we therefore have neither a reception nor a concierge service. As a new customer, we welcome you personally during opening hours and take a tour of the farm before handing over the keys to show you everything in peace. Regular customers receive an electronic key from us with which they can check themselves in.

Tack Room
The tack room has lockers for your helmets and riding boots with heels, which are mandatory to bring. Bring a standard headset (plug: “jack”) for our coaches’ walkie-talkies. The horse tie rails on the farm should please only be used on the paved side so that the ornamental lawn does not suffer.
Shopping
The brand outlet in Soltau scores with everything that clothing outlets offer. You can do some nice shopping in the Hanseatic city of Lüneburg. The salt city – and the way there as well – is legendary and avoids the usual well-known big city bustle. For quick shopping, Hanstedt is perfect. There, about 5 minutes away by car, is a real department store, just like in a big city.

Vacuum Cleaner
You will find vacuum cleaners for free loan at the following locations: Cossma/La Jolie stairwell, guest WC entrance/apartment Max and laundry centre/Robiani apartment entrance. Please empty the vacuum cleaner right after use and hook it back properly into its charging station – so other guests can use it again as soon as possible. It’s best to leave your shoes on the shoe rack in front of the apartment – your wooden floor will stay nice and clean.

Laundry Centre
At the entrance of the Robiani apartment you will find our laundry centre: washing machine, tumble dryer and a wash stand with washboard for hand washing (free of charge). Washer and dryer run on Heinshof tokens: order a bundle of 12 (€14.90) via the booking app, collection at the chicken house (Hühnerhaus). 1 token = 20 minutes washing or 10 minutes drying. Available daily from 9 am, last cycle finished by 6 pm. Detergent is available in the farm shop. Tip: load first, then insert tokens – the time starts immediately.

Z - Train
