Horse Breeding at Heinshof – Sport Horses from Our Own Breeding

We breed many of our horses ourselves – from the foal to the fully started sport horse. Because we know our horses from the very beginning, we know exactly what is in them: character, rideability and health. That is precisely what buyers are looking for when they want an honest, well-trained horse from a single source.

Our breeding philosophy: honest, rideable, sound

Our focus is not one spectacular pedigree, but the horse you will enjoy for years: level-headed, good to ride and healthy. We breed sport horses for show jumping and demanding leisure riding – with the same standard of care and handling that Linda Naeve-Haht lives across the whole estate.

Raised calmly, not on a conveyor belt

Our young horses grow up on the pastures and in the stables of the Heinshof in the Lünebure Heath. A calm environment, plenty of movement and early, fair contact with people lay the foundation for a horse that later works with you calmly and with trust.

Trained from a single source

What we breed, we usually train ourselves too – from basic education through backing to further work under saddle. The result is a consistent, traceable path from foal to reliable sport or leisure partner, with no chain of dealers in between.

Buying young horses and sport prospects

We pass on horses from our breeding to the right riders – from the promising youngster to the further-trained sport horse. Because they were born and raised with us, we can advise you honestly on which horse suits you. You will find an overview on our horse sales page; how buying (and, for international buyers, importing) works is explained in our guide to buying and importing a sport horse.

Frequently asked questions about breeding

Does Heinshof breed its own horses?

Yes. We run our own sport-horse breeding programme and train our horses ourselves.

Which disciplines do you breed for?

The focus is on sport horses for show jumping, as well as well-trained horses for demanding leisure riding.

Can I buy a foal or young horse from your breeding?

In principle yes, when suitable horses are available. As a rule, we only sell horses after their first successful show-jumping competitions. Get in touch – we will tell you honestly what currently fits your goals.

Can I try the horse before buying?

Yes. As with all of our horse sales, you can take your time trying horses and stay on site during a buying trip. See the buying and import guide for details.
